The Mossman lab focuses on aspects of host homeostasis and mechanisms to detect and respond to incoming pathogens. In particular, we study host intrinsic and innate signalling cascades and strategies evolved by viruses to circumvent or manipulate these pathways. Our research spans basic to translational aspects of antimicrobial resistance, with a focus on using acquired knowledge to develop novel anti-viral and anti-cancer biological therapies.
